We are the Deaf Navigator Program. Our program provides variety of resources and programs for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Alaska, to improve long term employment and housing options. We are a part of Hope Community Resources and funded by a grant provided by the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services. We provide assistance in the navigation and coordination of a variety of resources. We train employers, service providers and community members on the needs of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. In addition, at zero cost to the community, we have available to those in need, a computer, videophone, TTY (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf,) and caption phone. We are involved in outreach and marketing to rural communities in Alaska.
